Each month we will highlight an organization in North Florida and South Georgia who are changing lives in our very community. You can learn more about each organization and how you can get involved!

June's Service spotlight is on
The Alzheimer's Project
Support Groups:
An opportunity for caregivers to gain important knowledge about Alzheimer's disease from other caregivers. Serving Leon and 9 surrounding counties. See their calendar for upcoming support group dates and locations.
Project Lifesaver:
A reliable and pro-active rescue program for persons with Alzheimer's Disease, related memory disorders, Down's Syndrome, and Autism. This program was started by Pilot Club of Tallahassee and Leon County Sheriff's Office in 2005. It assists law enforcement personnel in the recovery of a missing person. The client wears a monitoring device either on their wrist or their ankle. If the person ever goes missing, the family calls LCSO who then begins the search. Through this technology they are able to find the missing person usually within 30 minutes to an hour.
Respite Services:
Respite is an opportunity for caregivers to leave their loved ones in a safe, secure environment while they have up to 6 hours to themselves.
